Football Happenings
Thanks for stopping by! Whatever Happened, Happened is our motto — no need to dwell in the past. The future is today (which makes today already the past, I guess!).
The future is online, and the future of sportsbooks is online sportsbooks. You probably already know this, if you’re at all interested in the sports betting world. If not, allow me to give you a brief introduction…
We’ve all made a friendly bet here and there. A wager between friends, an office football pool, an informal pool down at the pub. It’s about as common to sports fans as beer and the glazed look your girlfriend gets when you start talking football.
Of course, some people take it a bit farther, which can be okay or it can be dangerous, depending on which way you go. If you start to get in with an illegal bookie, you’re taking several big risks; I know that I wouldn’t ever recommend it. I like my kneecaps, and I like to be paid when I win.
On the other hand, very few people have regular access to a legal sportsbook. I guess the folks who live near Vegas and Atlantic City might be able to visit before every game day, but the rest of us probably won’t be satisfied about waiting for vacation time (and vacation expense, and vacation bother) just to put a few bucks on a game…just as a real fan of the slots would play online slots at an online casino USA rather than cram everything into a single week or so.
Luckily, we’ve got online sportsbooks to fill the void. And more than that; online sportsbooks do a number of things that even the best ‘brick-and-mortar’ sportsbook could never do. If it were only the the increased variety and scope of the bets offered, online sportsbooks would still have a huge edge over land-based books. If it were only the lack of blackouts, it would still be a wise investment for many bettors.
On the following pages, we’ll discuss a bit of the details in more depth.
